The High School Application Guidance Program
From the time that our students enter as preschoolers, they feel supported by their teachers and administrators. This is true of the high school application process as well.
In the Spring of seventh grade, students and their parents are invited to meet with the Principal to discuss the various options students may pursue – Catholic Schools, Public Schools and Independent Schools.
LES provides parents with important dates and information related to open houses, the TACHS exam, and the Specialized High School testing.
Our Principal and teachers are committed to writing letters of recommendation as requested.
The Junior High School program prepares our students well for application to and success in high school. For the past 4 years, 100% of the Honors Math class has passed the Algebra 1 Common Core Regents.
The Classes of 2015 – 2020 have been accepted to a wonderful group of public and private schools, among them are Brooklyn Tech, Bishop Kearney, Chaminade High School, Dominican Academy, Fontbonne Hall Academy , Fort Hamilton Honors Academy, Leon M. Goldstein High School for the Sciences, The Porter-Gaud School (SC), Midwood High School’s Humanities and Medical Programs, Millennium Brooklyn High School, Monsignor Farrell High School, Moore Catholic High School, St. Edmund’s, St. Savior, Xaverian, and Xavier.
