Reverend Paul Knudsen
The Rev. Paul H. Knudsen has been the Pastor of Bethlehem Lutheran Church since 1995. Pastor Knudsen is a native New Yorker. He was born and raised on Staten Island, attending Zion Lutheran Church. He graduated from Wagner College and attended Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus, Ohio. His internship was in a suburban church in Southfield, Michigan, just north of Detroit.
Ms. Michelle Miano
Ms. Michelle Miano has a Bachelor of Science degree in Childhood Education from St. John's University and brings a strong educational background to her position. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Delta (International Sociology Honor Society) which spreads awareness, broadens perspectives, and encourages people to think critically about issues that affect different groups of people around the world with sociological reasoning, and she is a member of Kappa Delta Pi (International Honor Society in Education) which advances quality education by inspiring teachers to prepare all learners for future challenges. She graduated from Lutheran Elementary School in 2003 and has developed solid connections to the staff and parent community during her time collaborating with us. LES has always been Michelle's second home. In addition to Michelle completing her student teaching here, she has spent over 15 years volunteering her time with faculty and staff. Officially, Michelle has served as part of the LES administration for the last three years. She has excelled in her role as Director of Operations of LES and is determined to bring more innovative learning opportunities into the life of our students.
